A. Dean Johnson, the principal attorney of the firm, hails from Muncie, Indiana, and has lived in Tallahassee since 1991. He was admitted to practice law in Florida in 1994.
Mr. Johnson is a proud graduate of Belmont College in Nashville, Tennessee (B. Mus., 1991, cum laude), and The Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee, Florida (J.D., 1994, with honors). In law school, he was Executive Editor of The Florida State University Law Review and Articles and Notes Editor for the F.S.U. Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law. While serving on Law Review, he received the Meritorious Service Award, was one of the initial Ausley Scholars, and published Music Copyrights: The Need for an Appropriate Fair Use Analysis in Digital Sampling Infringement Suits, 21 Fla. St. U. L. Rev. 135 (1993), which has been cited in opinions by several federal courts and many subsequent legal journals.
Mr. Johnson has been a practicing attorney for over 18 years, handling various types of legal matters (both plaintiff and defense), including:

Mr. Johnson is also an adjunct professor at Flagler College’s Tallahassee
campus where he teaches Business Law. He is an avid musician and long
distance runner, having participated in the Disney Marathon and
Half-Marathons.
He and his wife of 19 years, Caroline, now have five lovely children.
